For too many children in San Miguel, this is reality. More than 83% of students live in economic hardship, and nearly 8 out of 10 children screened already need preventive dental care. Yet San Miguel has no pediatric dental care in town. Families must travel outside the community for treatment, and care is often delayed—not because they don’t care, but because work, transportation, and everyday necessities come first.
